The Simple Woman’s Daybook for February 12, 2018

For Today

Looking out my window…it was nice to see the sun earlier, and finally take a walk again.
I am thinking…I was feeling so well. February blues? What February blues? Then influenza struck. πŸ™
I am thankful…we survived the Bad Flu, although hubby is on meds for almost-pneumonia. Not fun.
One of my favorite things…getting back to productivity.
I am creating…need to make a grocery list…
I am wearing…blue shirt and sweater, khaki pants
I am watching…Olympic figure skating – really the only “sport” I get excited about. πŸ˜‰
I am hoping…to actually go somewhere this week. :/
I am learning…about the American Civil War – need to catch up on listening to Churchill’s The Great Democracies.
In my kitchen…our favorite ham and cheddar soup on Saturday. Good comfort food.
In the school room…back to our regular schedule after a sporadic couple of weeks. Break week will sadly be delayed.
In my garden…mud and ice – I’d rather have snow.
Post Script
Karen Glass’s new book on narration, Know and Tell, is out! It looks like a wonderful resource from what I’ve read so far – I’m really looking forward to the high school advice. πŸ™‚

Shared Quote

If Jesus had to be deliberate with his priorities, so will we. We will have to work hard to rest. We will have to be dedicated to being disciplined. We will have to make it our mission to stay on mission. Kevin DeYoung, Crazy Busy
A moment from my day…sickness and February-ness are not conducive to photo taking. πŸ™
Closing Notes
Hope you have a blessed day! πŸ™‚

  1. My girls and I love the Olympic ice skating, too, but since we don’t have cable, Netflix, etc, we have to resort to watching it on Youtube. :/
Stopping by from the simple woman’s daybook.
