The Simple Woman’s Daybook for January 30, 2017

For Today
Looking out my window…dark and chilly – wish I could have had a walk today. 🙁
I am thinking…I should start written narrations with Mr. E. He did start his first fable rewrite in Writing & Rhetoric: Fable today. I love Mystie’s idea – think I’ll use it. 🙂
I am thankful…for lots of good books to read!
One of my favorite things…this boy and his bear.
I am creating…more entries in my commonplace book!

I am wearing…floral tee, jeans, sweater

I am listening to…a favorite album.
I am hoping…to watch a couple more sessions of my archaeology course this week – so interesting!
I am learning…the Lost Tools of Writing along with Miss A – she’ll write her first essay this week!
In my kitchen…fish fry and garlic oven fries tonight.
In the school room…we enjoyed some Hayden, Mozart and Beethoven today. 🙂
In my garden…a bit of snow. 😉
Post Script…Celeste at Joyous Lessons shared some great planning and pre-reading encouragement and tips today!
Shared Quote
Pondering these lines from Romeo and Juliet:

For nought so vile that on the earth doth live,
But to the earth some special good doth give;
Nor aught so good, but, strain’d from that fair use,
Revolts from true birth, stumbling on abuse:
Virtue itself turns vice, being misapplied,
And vice sometime’s by action dignified.

A moment from my day…(thanks, Rachel!)
