For Today
Looking out my window…it’s a bit chilly for June.
I am thinking…it always takes longer than I think to write a post. 😛
I am creating…hmmm…
I am wearing…my new PURPLE Atmosphere, Discipline, Life t-shirt
I am reading…Tremendous Trifles by G.K. Chesterton – I can squeeze an essay before bed if I’m not too tired.
I am hoping…to finish a few books tomorrow. Just one chapter each left in Peter Nimble and His Fantastic Eyes (lunch time read-aloud), The Complete Tales of Winnie the Pooh (read-aloud with L), and The Sea Around Us (pre-read for Mr. D).
I am learning…a lot about the ocean! 😉
In my kitchen…pesto and chicken pasta tonight, made with basil from our garden – nothing like fresh pesto!
In the school room…four weeks left in Term 3, two before church camp and two after. It’s hard to keep going when most others are off, but we will get a five-week break come August!
In my garden…hoping we’ll get some peppers – three of the six plants I bought shriveled up and died, and one got hit by a Frisbee today (hoping it still might survive). 🙁
Post Script
This post is probably the sanest and most helpful thing I’ve read about screen time: 10 Reasons Why Homeschool Parents Are Afraid of ‘Screen Time’ (not just for homeschool parents, though!)
Shared Quote
“If to do were as easy as to know what were good to do, chapels had been churches, and poor men’s cottages princes’ palaces. It is a good divine that follows his own instructions: I can easier teach twenty what were good to be done, than be one of the twenty to follow mine own teaching.” Portia in William Shakespeare’s The Merchant of Venice
A moment from my day…planning is in progress!
Closing Notes
Have you listened to the latest Scholé Sisters episode yet? They had a special announcement I’m excited about!

Two things:
1. I just bought Tremendous Trifles!! ♥
2. We chose Up From Slavery, too. I can’t remember what else, but I am very excited to know Booker T. better. 🙂
