The Simple Woman’s Daybook for March 6, 2017

For Today

Looking out my window…it’s been raining pretty much all day.
I am thinking…it’s been a rough and lonely past few weeks. I’ve not been able to go to church three Sundays in a row. 🙁
I am thankful…at least two boys got to enjoy the maple syrup day at the local preserve on Saturday.

One of my favorite things…I’ve said it before, but I am really loving those Young People’s Concerts each Monday. We got to watch a performance of the last movement of Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto today. ♥

I am creating…nothing at the moment.
I am wearing…pink sweater and jeans
I am watching…Little Dorrit with Miss A – yay!
I am hoping…I’ll feel better soon – gonna have to see the doctor if I don’t. 🙁
I am learning…patience – maybe? 😉
In my kitchen…pork chops, gnocchi and peas tonight
In the school room…thankful the kids could mostly keep up with their Ambleside readings last week. I don’t feel “behind” if those are getting done. 🙂
In my garden…I need to think about that…

Though the fig tree should not blossom,
    nor fruit be on the vines,
the produce of the olive fail
    and the fields yield no food,
the flock be cut off from the fold
    and there be no herd in the stalls,
yet I will rejoice in the Lord;
    I will take joy in the God of my salvation.
God, the Lord, is my strength;
    he makes my feet like the deer’s;
    he makes me tread on my high places.
Habakkuk 3:17-19 ESV
A moment from my day…yesterday – this little fellow has had a rough few days…

  1. Hope you all feel better soon. My sister got pink eye after a virus spread to her eye. She said she was pretty miserable. Your son looks like he’s doing much better. Puppets and play is a good distraction from being sick. 🙂
