The Simple Woman’s Daybook for November 21, 2016

For Today

Looking out my window…lovely but chilly!
I am thinking…I really need to vacuum – didn’t get done on Saturday.
I am thankful…I was able to make my annual visit to World Market for Advent calendar and stocking stuffers on Saturday. Then we took the boys to see the model trains at COSI.

One of my favorite things…Advent!

I am creating…an Advent calendar for Little R – a tutorial of sorts coming (hopefully) tomorrow!
I am wearing…tee, sweater, khaki pants
I am watching…The Crown on Netflix – very interesting and well done, but a few parts I wish they’d left out (there’s a reason I didn’t become a doctor 😛 ).
I am hoping…to finish the Christmas shopping soon (I’m sure hubby’s hoping that, too. 😉 ). I’ve made a good dent in it.
I am learning…some aids to establishing A Praying Life.
In my kitchen…tomato soup and cheese melts for lunch.
In the school room…another Morning Time Music Monday (yes, I changed up our MT schedule a bit – makes Mondays kind of fun)! Today we listened to a SQUILT music appreciation webinar with Pam Barnhill and Mary Prather.
In my garden…even the mums are fading, sniff.
Post Script
The latest Scholé Sisters podcast episode has some great food for thought, as usual. 🙂

Shared Quote

“Death has become like a tyrant who has been completely conquered by the legitimate monarch; bound hand and foot the passers-by sneer at him, hitting him and abusing him, no longer afraid of his cruelty and rage, because of the king who has conquered him. So has death been conquered and branded for what it is by the Savior on the cross. It is bound hand and foot, all who are in Christ trample it as they pass and as witnesses to Him deride it, scoffing and saying, “O Death, where is thy victory? O Grave, where is thy sting?” Anthanasius, On the Incarnation
