The Simple Woman’s Daybook for November 6, 2017

For Today

Looking out my window…very dark.
I am thinking…about joining in on this link-up: Mason for Me
I am thankful…for a bit of quiet.
One of my favorite things…finishing a blog post. 😉
I am creating…a Christmas gift list – or I should be…
I am wearing…tee, jeans, and purple fuzzy sweater
I read…Anne Bogel’s new book, Reading People – it’s a good intro to personality typing, and I’m interested in looking into a couple of the frameworks I’m not familiar with a bit more.
I am hoping…to sleep better tonight. 🙁
I am learning…perseverance!
In my kitchen…something quick tonight – slow cooker chicken and vegetables tomorrow.
In the school room…Brahms and the Beatles in our Young People’s Concert today. My kids groan and I grin whenever Bernstein starts playing and singing a Beatles tune. 😀 We were learning about intervals today.
In my garden…Even the mums are dying…

“Don’t you think it’s rather nice to think that we’re in a book that God’s writing? If I were writing the book, I might make mistakes. But God knows how to make the story end just right – in the way that’s best for us.” (From The Railway Children by Edith Nesbit)
A moment from my day…the photos on my phone aren’t uploading for some reason – and I didn’t take any photos today, anyway.
Closing Notes
An excellent exhortation from Karen: Make the Table Bigger

  1. Oh, I hope you will link up with the Mason and Me group, as I know a lot of people would enjoy reading your writing. I always do, even though I don’t comment very often. I don’t have a Blog, so I have nothing to link up with over there but I plan to read all the entries regularly, as I am doing my own thing with my own mother culture as an empty nester, and greatly enjoying myself and thanking God for the opportunity!

  2. Thanks for the shout-out, Anna! And I think you should definitely link up with the Mason and Me link up. (Mackenzie is a friend I met through blogging – YEARS ago! – and then we were able to meet in person a few months ago. Which was great.)

  3. Thanks for sharing your daybook with us! I enjoyed it very much. I just finished Anne Bogel’s new book, too, and really had fun reading it. She did mention some things I had not heard of, too. I am looking forward to diving in to learn more, too. Blessings to you!
