The Simple Woman’s Daybook for October 10, 2016

For Today

simple-woman-daybook-large

Looking out my window…it’s chilly!
I am thinking…I need to print out our new memory work – we’ve just been reviewing old stuff so far this term.
I am thankful…for my dad who turns 70 later this week!
One of my favorite things…evening walks, either during soccer practice or around the neighborhood.
I am creating…school checklists for tomorrow in a bit.
I am wearing…purple tee, pants, sweater
I am hoping…to make some headway in a few books this week.
In my kitchen…pumpkin rooibos tea is steeping.
In the school room…we read more about David Livingstone today.
In my garden…

Miss A won a writing contest and got to do a fun author/character interview on Books by Intisar. 🙂
Shared Quote
“Every age has its own outlook. It is specially good at seeing certain truths and specially liable to make certain mistakes. We all, therefore, need the books that will correct the characteristic mistakes of our own period. And that means the old books.” C. S. Lewis in his Preface to The Incarnation by Athanasius
A moment from my day…a moment later he was scattering the bears in frustration, but it was cute while it lasted. 😉
