The Simple Woman’s Daybook for October 3, 2016

For Today

Looking out my window…it was a lovely evening for soccer.
I am thinking…about all the books I should be finishing up…
I am thankful…Little L’s reading lessons are going well – he’s still learning the letters and their sounds. He seems to enjoy it for the most part and sometimes actually asks for a lesson. πŸ™‚
One of my favorite things…reading to my kids – when I’m not frazzled and tired, that is. πŸ˜‰
I am creating…a need-to-purchase list in my bullet journal.
I am wearing…aΒ tee and jeans
I am watching…Bleak House with hubby and Miss A
I am hoping…the paint color we chose for the entryway, kitchen and dining area turns out all right. It will be so good to finally get it done!
I am learning…how to respond to the “spirit of the world” displayed in art, music, literature, etc.
In my kitchen…pumpkin brownies and pumpkin bread were made on Saturday – and Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Rolls for breakfast! Their pumpkin coffee is good, too. πŸ™‚
In the school room…we watched the first of Leonard Bernstein’s Young People’s Concerts (started Friday and finished today). I think they will be a great way for us to increase our understanding and appreciation of music.
In my garden…the mums in the planter my dad made me are looking better after all the rain we got – guess I should have watered them more. πŸ˜›
Post Script
Miss A’s book, Behind Her Mask was Death, was published on Saturday, and you can buy it from Amazon!

    • Yes, thanks for stopping by, Amy! Hubby and I have watched it before, but it’s definitely one that can be watched again and again. πŸ™‚
