For Today

Looking out my window…the sky earlier today:
bluesky
I am thinking…September might be a bit crazy.
I am thankful…we were able to get a second vehicle a few months ago, for the first time in 15 years of marriage. We definitely need it in this season of life.

One of my favorite things…brotherly hugs.

I am creating…a chalkboard and picture thingy for the dining room wall – hopefully it turns out…
I am wearing…floral tee and grey skirt
I watched…Ruby Bridges – I had never heard of this movie before I followed a link my cousin posted on Facebook – so good. Going to watch it with the kids sometime.
I am hoping…we can get the rest of the downstairs painted soon – painters coming tomorrow to get an estimate!
I am learning…about William of Orange – started the next Churchill book.
In my kitchen…a simple supper that everyone loves: cook up chicken tenders in a pan and add to pasta along with a jar of pesto sauce.
In the school room…sort of 😉

In my garden…the lettuce I planted before vacation doesn’t seem to have sprouted. 🙁

It’s been fun joining Pam’s Month of Morning Time on Instagram. Check out the inspiration here, even if you aren’t on Instagram.

Gets me every time: “You see Veronica,” said Petunia, “When we do what we can with what we have, everyone is happy.” From my childhood favorite, Veronica, by Roger Duvoisin (sadly out of print).
A moment from my day…evening light

Closing Notes
Miss A has been participating in a drawing challenge this month and posting the pictures on her blog. Today’s was pretty funny, at least for her Canadian-born parents – check it out! 🙂
