The Simple Woman’s Daybook for February 11, 2019

For Today

Looking out my window…dark and damp
I am thinking…the latest WordPress update is extremely frustrating! 🙁
I am thankful…our new door is finally properly installed (they accidentally ordered it with the knob on the wrong side, which didn’t work too well).
One of my favorite things…going to Half Price Books – Miss A, Mr. D, and I got quite a stack of books there the other day.

I am creating…not much
I am wearing…purple shirt, jeans
I am listening to…another Brother Cadfael mystery: The Leper of St. Giles. Patrick Tull is the perfect narrator for this series.
I am hoping…to finish this post soon. :/
I am learning…about the ancient Greeks – both Mr. E and I are enjoying The Story of the Greeks this term.
In my kitchen…salmon burgers from Trader Joe’s tonight.
In the school room…we are almost halfway through the school year, and due for a break next week!
Post Script…this conversation on the AfterCast Podcast was thought-provoking: The Mother’s Compass
Shared Quote
“It is within the sphere of the circumstances He chooses for us – single, married, widowed – that we receive Him. It is there and nowhere else that He makes Himself known to us. It is there we are allowed to serve Him.” Elisabeth Elliot, Let Me Be a Woman
A moment from my day…I caught him re-reading this book to himself yesterday. 🙂

Closing Notes…have a blessed week!
