31 Days of Great Reads – God’s Smuggler by Brother Andrew

During the month of October, I’m posting brief reviews of some of my favorite books from the past couple of years: those that really touched my heart, gave me a new perspective, taught me something, or were just plain fun. Hopefully you will be inspired to add something to your to-read list. 🙂

God’s Smuggler is yet another book I read years ago that I have enjoyed revisiting. This time, I chose to listen to the audiobook, read by my favorite narrator, Simon Vance. It is just a wonderful, exciting, true story of God saving a man and then calling him to the dangerous job of bringing Bibles, as well as encouragement, to the beleaguered Christians behind the Iron Curtain. There are so many examples of provision and protection here, as well as demonstrations of the kind of love that all Christians share, regardless of language or nationality. One of my top 10 reads for this year.
