My real-life friend, Dawn, and my online friend, Mystie, have recently blogged about their words-of-the-year for 2015, and their posts got me thinking the possibility of choosing one myself. I was hesitant about doing it, but one word has kept coming back to me: pray. Prayer is something I have always struggled with, but it is something that I know I need to make a priority in my life, and also help my children learn to make a part of their lives. I probably won’t blog a lot about my “progress”, as it can be a rather personal topic, but I will share a few resources I’m hoping will help me grow in this area, and will add to them as I find others.

I plan to read through A Praying Life by Paul E. Miller at the pace of a chapter a week, which will take a good part of the year (32 chapters), but hopefully allow what I learn to sink in and be applied in my life.

Brandy at Afterthoughts shared her idea for a Prayer Box to help teach her children the discipline of prayer, and I want to incorporate something similar during our Morning Time this year.

Candace at His Mercy is New has many posts on praying the scriptures which I hope to explore and glean from.
If you have any other recommendations of books or resources about prayer, I would love to hear about them. 🙂
This is great, Anna. I like that we are going to do some of the same things.
