The Simple Woman’s Daybook for February 20, 2017

For Today

Looking out my window…it was foggy this morning and hazy this afternoon, but nice enough (if a bit chilly) to sit outside.

I am thinking…about the things I should try to accomplish this week – besides reading. 😉
I am thankful…for the little things that encourage my heart.

One of my favorite things…Trader Joe’s inside-out carrot cakes – hubby really shouldn’t have got them. 😉

I am creating…a more consolidated recipe collection (hope to finish that this week) and maybe a menu plan…
I am wearing…my Charlotte Mason motto shirt (seem to be currently out of stock, but I bought it here), skirt and sweater.
I am watching…Victoria
I am hoping…E and L are better soon (E has pinkeye, ugh).
I am learning…about the history of archaeology.
In my kitchen…a mess 😛
In the school room…it’s break week!
In my garden…robins already!

So many great blog posts lately, Brandy’s The Best Kept Secret of Homeschooling being one of them!

Loved this from John Milton Gregory’s The Seven Laws of Teaching
Learning is thinking into one’s own understanding a new idea or truth.
A moment from my day…actually from our walk yesterday evening – hard to believe it’s February!
