We enjoyed some bird watching this morning with Dawn and her kids, at a place along the river about 20 minutes from here where Great Blue Herons have a rookery (or heronry). It was a beautiful day, and the leaves are just beginning to come out, so we were able to see the nests and the birds coming and going quite well. We sketched in our nature journals, and I took quite a few photos. Unfortunately many turned out fuzzy, probably due to zooming in so much and the fact that the camera was on the wrong setting part of the time.
A Red-Winged Blackbird graced us with his presence, and I was able to get a couple of pictures. 🙂
It was a lovely outing!
Oh! I didn't see these! They are fantastic! Way better than mine. Awesome 🙂
