Wednesdays with Words has been moved to Instagram, and while I may participate there sometimes, I still want to have a place on my blog to share favorite quotes and what we’ve been reading – hence Book Notes. I don’t have much to say about today’s quote, except that it goes along with what I wrote in my Word of the Year post, and it stood out to me when reading The Cloud of Witness the other week. 🙂
Also read/listened to recently:
- Hubby: listening again to the first and last Poirot mysteries: The Mysterious Affair at Styles and Curtain
- Me: I really enjoyed my fourth Brother Cadfael mystery, St. Peter’s Fair. Patrick Tull, who narrates the audiobook, is Brother Cadfael.
- Miss A: She is loving Jane Eyre. 🙂
- Mr. D: His narrations indicate he’s enjoying Henty’s In Freedom’s Cause.
- Mr. E: He gobbled up The Vanderbeekers of 141st Street a month or so ago, and wants me to read it aloud to everyone – sounds like it might be a good one for around Christmas.
- Mr. L: He’s eager for Daddy to read him The Hobbit each evening.
- Little R: The Turnip by Jan Brett
