The Simple Woman’s Daybook for April 18, 2016

For Today

Outside my window…a lovely spring evening.

I am thinking…about education, as usual. 😉

I am thankful…for the lovely weather!

I am wearing…tee shirt and jeans.

I am creating…Morning Time plans!

I am wondering…what Scripture to memorize with the kids next.

I am reading…(should be reading) The Betrothed – need to catch up! But there’s so many other things to read, too…

I am hoping…to finish at least one book this week.

In my garden…tulips and Spring Beauty!

In my kitchen…turkey burgers and veggies for supper.

In the school room…it’s break week, but there’s still some piano and singing practice, Miss A’s Latin class, Shakespeare and reading going on. 🙂

Quote for today…“The end then of learning is to repair the ruins of our first parents by regaining to know God aright, and out of that knowledge to love him, to imitate him, to be like him, as we may the nearest by possessing our souls of true virtue, which being united to the heavenly grace of faith, makes up the highest perfection.” John Milton, Of Education

A peek into one of my days…

One of my favorite things…informal astronomy sessions with my kids. Last night we observed the conjunction of Jupiter with the Moon. 🙂

Post Script
My friend Dawn is celebrating 15 years of blogging this week! Wow – I’m pretty sure I didn’t even know what a blog was 15 years ago! 😀
