The Simple Woman’s Daybook for April 9, 2018

For Today

Looking out my window…grey and chilly – it snowed again this morning, but thankfully didn’t stick around.
I am thinking…about pre-reading – maybe I’ll post something later this week…
I am thankful…that it looks like it will warm up soon!
One of my favorite things…Trader Joe’s inside-out carrot cakes. Hopefully I can limit myself to a couple – it’s dangerous when hubby brings them home. πŸ˜‰
I am creating…weekly schedules for Term 3! We start next week because of travel and summer plans. Normally we’d have a break week first, but sometimes, as my Mom would say, “That’s the way the cookie crumbles.”
I am wearing…floral print shirt, jeans, sweater.
I am reading…Know and Tell: The Art of Narration by Karen Glass.
I am hoping…for some warm sunshine!
I am learning…about clouds.

In my kitchen…sausage pasta and salad for supper.
In the school room…a lighter week –Β Term 2 exams, piano, reading, and some handwriting practice for Mr. L this week.

In my garden…tulips are coming up, although some don’t look too healthy. πŸ™
Post Script
Cindy Rollins’ interview with Jeannette Tulis about Nature Study in Springtime was inspiring.
Shared Quote
“Everything, it seems – even nebulous wisps of cloud – has its place in this orderly universe.” Eric Sloane’s Weather Book
A moment from my day…waiting for his Sunday School teacher yesterday – hopefully he isn’t traumatizing the other children. πŸ˜›
Closing Notes
Happy Monday! πŸ™‚
