The Simple Woman’s Daybook for January 10, 2022

For Today
Looking out my window…cold and dark.
I am thinking…it’s hard to believe it’s 2022 already!
I am thankful…we and our friends who got covid at the same time seem to be mostly over it. It wasn’t fun, but it could have been worse.
One of my favorite things…winter sunsets.
I am creating…new knitted dish cloths – much needed and something to do while listening to audiobooks. And they’re pretty. 🙂
I am wearing…new Nancy Drew tee, jeans, hoodie
I am reading…Atomic Habits seemed like a good one to begin the year with. 😉 Here’s my Christmas book stack:
I am hoping…we’ll get into a good routine soon, sigh.
I am learning…about 1776 with my 9th grader.
In my kitchen…Crockpot Ravioli tomorrow
In the school room…a slow start, but a start.
Post Script
Almost all of the video lectures from 100 Days of Dante have been good, but these two recent ones were excellent:

Shared Quote
“O Thou Good omnipotent, who so carest for every one of us, as if Thou caredst for him only; and so for all, as if they were but one!” The Confessions of Saint Augustine
A moment from my day…it was a rather cold walk today. I came upon a young man “skating” on a large puddle on the path through the woods in our neighborhood, and he smiled at me rather sheepishly, but I might well have done it myself if no one was around. 😀
Closing Notes
Happy New Year!
