The Simple Woman’s Daybook for January 7, 2019

For Today

Looking out my window…dark and damp.
I am thinking…about my Word of the Year: Cultivate.
I am thankful…for a Christmas holiday spent with family in Canada.
One of my favorite things…thinking about what to read in the New Year… 😉
I am creating…pages in my new bullet journal.
I am wearing…my new sweatshirt from Out of Print.
I am watching…The Great Tours: England, Scotland, and Wales from The Great Courses (another Christmas gift).
I am hoping…our first week back goes well – the first day went better than I thought it might.
I am learning…about Essential Truths of the Christian Faith along with the kids in Morning Time – shopping my shelves again – I’ve had this one since I was a teenager!
In my kitchen…chicken noodle (actually, couscous) soup tonight.
In the school room…The Wind in the Willows, Ben-Hur, 1493 for Young People, and The Lord of the Flies were four more books started in our homeschool today. 🙂
Post Script
A good reminder for those of us who tend to get caught up in the future possibilities inside our heads, whether that be exciting plans or nagging worries: Living One Day (Or Moment) At a Time

“Judge each day not by the harvest you reap but by the seeds you plant.” Robert Louis Stevenson
A moment from my day…he loves books with maps. ♥
Closing Notes
Happy New Year!
