The Simple Woman’s Daybook for Monday, November 2, 2015

For Today…
Outside my window...dark now, but it was a perfect fall day – sunny and cool, but not too cold to sit outside. 🙂
I am thinking…about all the reading I need and want to do.
I am thankful…for a bit of quiet when I can get it. 😉
I am wearing…blue tee with floral print, grey skirt, sweater
I am creating…nothing at the moment – taking a break!
I am going…a few places later this week.
I am wondering…if I should start thinking about Christmas yet. Probably, but I just want to read.
I am reading…Fierce Wars and Faithful Loves, The Thinking Toolbox, The Complete Book of Marvels… lots of good stuff. Also just started Strong Poison on audiobook (finally more Sayers on Audible, yay!) and I’m hoping to get sucked into a good mystery ’cause it’s been a while. 😀
I am hoping...to make some reading progress this week.
I am learning…new old words, like “eftsoones”.
In my garden…need to do some fall clean-up, sigh.
In my kitchen…fish and chips (French fries) tonight.
In the homeschool room…we read about John Bunyan in Trial and Triumph, and started The Princess and the Goblin as our new lunchtime read-aloud.
A favorite quote for today…“O how can beauty master the most strong, And simple truth subdue avenging wrong?” (from Canto III of The Faerie Queene by Edmund Spenser)
A peek into one of my days…I’m glad she still loves to swing. 🙂

One of my favorite things…the connections I’m making between Spenser, Whatever Happened to Justice and what our pastor has been teaching in Sunday School. 😀
