During the second Focus and Align class on Monday night, Sarah Mackenzie read a quote by C.S. Lewis that she had used in her own book, Teaching from Rest. It has been a good one for me to keep in mind this week, as the stomach flu has struck here, and there is a lot less school and a lot more movies than I had hoped. 😉
A few books read or listened to here in the past couple of weeks:
- Hubby: Reaper Man by Terry Pratchett on audio (Miss A is waiting with baited breath for his verdict 😉 )
- Me: currently listening to Goodbye Mr. Chips by James Hilton (sniff)
- Miss A: finished Westward Ho! by Charles Kingsley earlier than scheduled because she just wanted to get it over with. Not a favorite, and that’s an understatement. 😛
- Mr. D: audiobooks are good for sick days – he listened to several chapters of Oliver Twist yesterday.
- Mr. E: Homer Price by Robert McCloskey – fun!
- Little L: Richard Scarry’s What Do People Do All Day? – also fun. 🙂
- Little R: I Spy Little Wheels – all my boys have enjoyed the I Spy books.
Wednesdays with Words is hosted by ladydusk.
Hope everyone is feeling better soon 🙂 Stomach flu is never a welcome interruption <3 Peace keep you all.
Thanks, Kortney! Tummies are better, but we still have some colds. Seems to be one thing after another right now – can’t wait for spring!
