I have been leisurely making my way through Leisure the Basis of Culture, taking time to add favorite passages to my commonplace book. I may have more to write on it later this week if I can get my thoughts together in a coherent manner. 😉 But for now I wanted to share this lovely thought:
This is the kind of contemplation even busy mothers can pause to enjoy! 🙂
Some books read/listened to in our home this week:
- Hubby: The Legend of Sleepy Hollow by Washington Irving
- Me: Out of the Silent Planet by C.S. Lewis (audiobook – very strange 😉 )
- Miss A: A Girl of the Limberlost by Gene Stratton-Porter – she started it yesterday and is over halfway through!
- Mr. D: still listening to Oliver Twist.
- Mr. E: finished Homer Price yesterday. Also reading Dandelion Fire by N.D. Wilson
- Little L: Corduroy by Don Freeman (love that book!)
- Little R: Choo Choo by Virginia Lee Burton
Wednesdays with Words is hosted by ladydusk.
Love this..and the image you included for restful contemplation! I love all the different kinds of rest.
