The Simple Woman’s Daybook for December 12, 2016

For Today

Looking out my window…grey skies and melting snow.
I am thinking…about books – what I’ve read and what to read next year – blog posts coming soon.

I am thankful…the First Lego League competition on Saturday went fairly well, and Miss A enjoyed the Celtic Ball (although her leg is still sore from all the dancing!). πŸ™‚

One of my favorite things…Trader Joe’s tea – both the Chocolate Mint Black Tea and Candy Cane Green Tea are delicious! Hope hubby can pick up some more today.

I am creating…one of these for my dino-loving little guy. Hope it turns out ok, and he likes it – they’re so cute!
I am wearing…purple tee, grey skirt
I read…On the Incarnation by Athanasius – finished it yesterday!
I am hoping…my dentist appointment on Thursday goes well – not looking forward to it. :/
I am learning…to trust in God. It’s a lifelong process, but sometimes the training is more intese than others.
In my kitchen…need to finish the shopping list for hubby and figure out supper…
In the school room…Handel’s Messiah and Shakespeare – and, unfortunately, some sibbling squabbles and a grumpy mother. πŸ™
In my garden…patches of snow and Christmas lights out front.

A moment from my day…from Saturday – ’tis the season for fort building!

  1. Miss A looks lovely in her ballgown! And the Dino tails are so clever; hope yours turns out well. What colors are you using?
