Wednesdays with Words: Greater and More Certain

Miss A and I are reading Alessandro Manzoni’s novel The Betrothed (although I’m a bit behind), and I wanted to share this comforting quote. In the context, the heroine, Lucia, has been forced to flee her home, and she is reflecting on her dashed hopes and uncertain future. Her conclusion is to remember the omnipresence and love of God:
